March 2016 - HospiceRx Gets a New Look with Same Great Service!
As of April 1, 2016, HospiceRx has a new look
and feel! Last year, HospiceRx and MedTrakRx
became part of the Rite Aid family of companies,
as a wholly owned division of EnvisionRx. In an
effort to have a consistent look and feel across all
of the brands within the family, Hospice Rx will be
changing their logo and colors.

Hospice Rx launched a new and improved patient management portal this month! The patient management portal offers an easy way to access patient information online which will streamline many processes related to managing patient information and prescriptions with the click of a button.

January 2016 - Withdrawl of Inhaled Glucocorticoids and Exacerbations of COPD
Treatment with inhaled glucocorticoids in combination with long-acting bronchodilators is recommended in patients with frequent exacerbations of severe chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). However, the benefit of inhaled glucocorticoids in addition to two long-acting bronchodilators has not been fully explored.

October 2015 - Atropine vs. Hyoscyamine
As the price of Atropine continues to increase across
the country because of limited manufacturers,
the hospice community looks for alternatives for
the treatment of terminal secretions. Multiple
studies show the various products used (Atropine,
Glycopyrrolate, Scopolamine, and Hyoscyamine)
all have similar results in treating terminal
secretions1. Of these products, Hyoscyamine is
currently the cheapest option.
